Guru Network Insider Updates - April 18, 2025 AMA - Developer Education, Open Source, and New Rewards

On April 18, 2025, the Guru Network team hosted our weekly AMA session, focusing on the launch of a new educational initiative for developers, the evolution of the Guru Framework, and the introduction of incentivized open-source development.

Guru Network: From DexGuru to Open Web Automation

• Background: Guru Network began as DexGuru, a DeFi trading terminal supporting 180 DEXes across 18 chains. About a year ago, the team pivoted to develop the Guru Framework and Guru Network, shifting focus to open-source web automation and AI orchestration1.
• Vision: The Guru Framework is now the cornerstone of the ecosystem, enabling rapid onboarding of new applications and expanding the utility of the GURU token.

Guru Framework: What It Is and How It Works

• Core Components:
  • Analytics Platform: Built on Redash, providing powerful data analytics capabilities.
  • Business Process Automation: Uses Camunda BPMN for low-code workflow design, allowing developers to visually create user flows and connect data sources, microservices, and AI agents.
  • Ecosystem Wallets: Integration with Thirdweb for secure, ecosystem-wide smart accounts and seamless user authentication.
  • Frontend Flexibility: A modular frontend, reused across DexGuru, Burning Meme, Topi AI, and other apps, easily customizable by developers.
  • Blockchain Indexer: An open-source indexer providing comprehensive DeFi market data (prices, volume, liquidity) for integration into new apps.
• Developer Experience: Developers can use the Guru Framework to build not only blockchain applications but also social apps, agentic (AI-driven) apps, and community bots (e.g., for Telegram or Discord). Out-of-the-box features include analytics, content management, crypto payments, and AI agent integration.

New Developer Initiative: Learn, Build, and Earn

• Educational Program: Starting April-May , Guru Network will host live coding sessions and tutorials on how to develop with the Guru Framework, including how to:
  • Set up the framework locally
  • Work with public GitHub issues
  • Submit pull requests and contribute features
  • Deploy applications and services using the framework
• Incentivized Open Source: Public GitHub issues will now include GURU token rewards for community contributions. Developers can pick up tickets, deliver features, and earn tokens for their work.
• Upcoming Unlocks: In May, token unlocks will be distributed specifically to developers contributing to the Guru Framework and ecosystem projects.

Burning Meme and Ecosystem Wallets: Security & Automation

• Burning Meme Launch: The meme coin launchpad, Burning Meme, is in alpha and expected to launch publicly soon. It leverages smart accounts for secure asset management and supports automated trading workflows—a standout feature enabled by the Guru Framework.
• Wallet Migration: Users are encouraged to migrate balances from old wallets to new Thirdweb-powered smart wallets for enhanced security and unified access across all Guru Network apps. This migration also moves $GURU token balances to the Base chain, where most utility will be concentrated going forward.
• Ecosystem Wallet Benefits: With the new wallet system, users enjoy single sign-on across all Guru apps, shared balances, and the ability to automate DeFi actions securely—something not previously achieved in the space.

Community Participation and Rewards

• Not Just for Developers: Non-developers can participate in Riddle Hunts and other quests within Guru Network apps to earn $GURU tokens after minting GuruDAO NFTs, which unlock further rewards and voting rights in the DAO.
• DAO and Future Plans: More features and rewards are planned for GuruDAO NFT holders, especially those contributing to governance and development. The team is actively seeking community feedback and ideas for future initiatives.
